Niki Lindroth von Bahr, qui s’était faite remarquée avec son court-métrage similaire Min Börda (The Burden) en 2017 – film qui avait gagné un prix à Annecy.
Vous avez sans doute vu passé l’annonce la semaine dernière : le youtuber / data hoarder, « Ziggy Cashmere », derrière les excellents chaines Ziggy et OK So et qui a déjà consacré un long format au Computer Graphics Lab du New York Institute of Technology…
… a mis a dispo des centaines de documents précieux retrouvés et numérisés. Storyboards, concept art, bandes démo, newsletters internes, etc. Prêt de 800Go pour le moment, en attendant les archives transmises par d’anciens du Labo qui font de la spéléo dans leurs cartons.
In 1974, eccentric millionaire and academic Alexander Schure founded the Computer Graphics Lab at the New York Institute of Technology’s Westbury campus. While it was headed by Pixar founders Alvy Ray Smith and Ed Catmull, made large advances in computer animation and was the starting ground for many established developers and animators, it has often been only used as a footnote. Now you can view, read, and download what’s been uncovered so far from the lab after it shut down almost 35 years ago.
